BLACKPINK’s Rosé “Vampirehollie” is Inspired by “Control Freaks” that Got to Her?

Recently, BLACKPINK’s Rosé performed at the music festival GMO SONIC 2025, which was held in Japan.
Here, before performing the song “vampirehollie”, Rosé revealed rather interesting information about her inspiration.
Particularly, the female idol said, “Sometimes, you go through some emotional roller coaster”, adding that she experienced such an experience the prior year and ended up writing “vampirehollie” after a “very sleepless night“.
“It’s silly to call them haters, so let’s call them ‘control freaks’, have got to me”, Rosé revealed, adding that she felt extremely down because of negative comments, leading to her writing the song to release all that stress.
On the other hand, previously, an Instagram account with the handle “@vampirehollie” was made, drawing attention as it only follows BLACKPINK’s Rosé and has the caption “”rosie will u be my number one..? ♡ ” on its profile.
In the past, an Instagram account with the similar name was suspected to be Rosé’s substitute account, but it has since been changed to “_vampirehollie_” to lend the handle to the aforementioned new account, raising suspicions even higher.

Now, the female idol has dropped a message about “vampirehollie” herself, effectively confirming that the account belongs to her.
Additionally, Rosé also published a music snippet with the title “Vampirehollie edit”, suggesting that this is the name of her upcoming new release.
The song seems to be in English, as the snippet shows Rosé singing, “Stupid words, lots of bad jokes / Angel hearts and a cute name / Hate that i can remember / Every evil thing you say.”
So far, fans have been enthusiastic over these updates of Rosé, especially as this will be the first song released by Rosé following her departure from YG Entertainment.
